Briefs: Marriott installs Motorola system

SCHAUMBURG -- Marriott International Inc. said Wednesday it completed the installation of Motorola Inc.'s enhanced business and entertainment services platform. Motorola's PowerBroadband system was deployed in more than 15,000 Marriott-branded rooms at hotels in Florida, Virginia and Washington, D.C.

IFS gains Indian hydroelectric deal

SCHAUMBURG -- National Hydroelectric Power Corp., one of India's largest power generation companies, has signed a five-year contract worth more than $7 million to implement IFS Applications products. National Hydroelectric, with more than 13,000 employees, chose IFS Applications to support its finance, project management, maintenance and operations and business performance. IFS has operations in Schaumburg.
