'Change Your Life' at Dundee library
On Wednesday, the Dundee Township Public Library will host Alesa Burbach, a life coach based in Elgin, for a seminar called "Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life" at 7 p.m. in the library's meeting room, 555 Barrington Ave., East Dundee.
Burbach will explore ways to identify beliefs that limit one's life, then teach participants an empowering process for making deliberate choices to produce more satisfying results in life.

Crisis Center to celebrate 32 years
The Community Crisis Center in Elgin will celebrate its 32nd year of service with a dinner at 6 p.m. Thursday at The Seville in Streamwood.
The evening will begin with hors d'oeuvres at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. This year's program will include the presentation of the Seigle Family Humanitarian Award to Karen and Dan Fox.
The Wanda Lingle Employee Award, The Heart of the Center Volunteer Awards and an unveiling of the new Community Crisis Center logo. Tickets cost $60 each. For reservations or details, call the Community Crisis Center at (847) 697-2380.
Junior Royals host tryouts Sunday
The Larkin Junior Royals basketball team will hold tryouts for the 2008 season from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Larkin High School, 1475 Larkin Ave., Elgin.
