Couple hurt in rollover on tollway near Schaumburg

A man and a woman suffered minor injuries Saturday morning after a rollover on the Addams Memorial Tollway in Schaumburg.

Crews were forced to extricate the couple from their Buick Roadmaster, which was on its side, about 11 a.m. in the far left lane on the westbound side of the tollway, near Meacham Road, Schaumburg fire Battalion Chief Kenneth Wood said.

Paramedics took the couple, who Wood only described as elderly, to St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates. He called the injuries minor, saying the victims walked into the ambulance on their own. Wood said traffic was snarled for 30 minutes.
