Listen to W. Aurora games

West Aurora High School fans can listen to audio Web casts of the boy's basketball Rock Island Tournament games at 8 tonight and noon and 6:30 p.m. Saturday. Visit http://tv.sd129.org. In the Aurora area, the broadcasts also can be heard on radio station WBIG 1280 AM. For best performance, an Internet connection of 56 bps minimum is recommended, and DSL service is preferred. Playhouse selling stuff

First Street Playhouse, First and Water streets, Batavia, is selling off props, lumber, paint supplies and furniture. The sale will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Individual appointments are also available. To set up an appointment, e-mail firststreetproduction@yahoo.com.

U46, teachers negotiate

Elgin Area School District U-46 negotiating teams will return to the bargaining table Tuesday. If an agreement is not reached on a new teachers contract Tuesday, federal mediators could be brought in to facilitate the process. The union and the district restarted negotiations last week, after teachers last month rejected a tentative three-year contract.

Brass Band at Hemmens

Illinois Brass Band will be performing "An Old Fashioned Christmas" at 3 p.m. Dec. 2 at the Hemmens Cultural Center, 45 Symphony Way, Elgin. Illinois Brass Band is a six-time North American Brass Band Association Champion. The performance will feature classic carols and other holiday songs. Tickets are $15 and $20. Kane County families with soldiers stationed at Camp Al Asad (Air Force) and Camp Taji/Cooke (Army) can visit face-to-face for 30 minutes Jan. 8 via University of Illinois Extension Kane County's videoconferencing system at its office at 535 S. Help team buy jerseys

The Saints Illinois Special Olympics Team of St. Charles East High School is seeking donations to help buy new jerseys.
