Cosley Zoo to host Festival of Lights
Cosley Zoo will hold its annual Festival of Lights and Christmas tree sale beginning at 3 p.m. today at the zoo, 1356 N. Gary Ave., Wheaton.
Thousands of twinkling lights and animal figures turn the zoo into a winter wonderland. The lights come on daily at 3 p.m. and the zoo is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily through the season.
The zoo is closed Christmas and New Year's Day, but open from 9 a.m. to noon Christmas Eve and New Year's eve.
The sale offers 2,400 fresh evergreen, as well as wreaths, garlands and loose greens and a gift shop. Purchases are tax deductible and benefit the zoo.
A Santa's Craft Corner is planned with Santa from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 and 8. For details, call (630) 665-5534.
