Easy shutout for Osgood
Chris Osgood needed to make only 12 saves for his 44th NHL shutout, and Dan Cleary had a goal and an assist to give the host Detroit Red Wings a 3-0 win over the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday night.
"I've played on this team long enough where I've had nights when I don't get very many shots," Osgood said. "I just stay focused on the puck."
Henrik Zetterberg and Mikael Samuelsson also scored for Detroit, which snapped St. Louis' four-game winning streak.
Manny Legace stopped 35 shots for the Blues.

Sabres 4, Senators 2: Derek Roy and Drew Stafford had a goal and assist each, and host Buffalo scored three times in the first period en route to a victory against NHL-leading Ottawa.
Rangers 2, Lightning 1: Henrik Lundqvist made 32 saves to lead the New York Rangers past host Tampa Bay.
Devils 2, Penguins 1: Zach Parise scored 2 power-play goals to support New Jersey goalie Martin Brodeur's 501st career victory, over Pittsburgh.
Canucks 4, Wild 2: Markus Naslund scored 3e goals, and Vancouver beat host Minnesota.
