DiPietro nets win No. 100; Thrashers win
Rick DiPietro earned his 100th NHL victory with an 18-save effort and the Islanders won 2-1, beating the host Rangers for the third time this season.
The Islanders are 8-1-2 in their last 11 against the Rangers, and now have 500 road wins in franchise history. DiPietro earned his 12th victory over New York and snapped the Rangers' winning streak at five.
Senators 4, Canadiens 2: Dany Heatley had a goal and 2 assists, and Jason Spezza added 3 assists as Ottawa beat host Montreal.
Martin Gerber stopped 36 shots for his league-leading 13th win in 15 starts.
Hall of Fame defenseman Larry Robinson became the 13th Montreal player to have his number retired by the team when his No. 19 was hoisted to the rafters in a pregame ceremony.
Thrashers 4, Lightning 3 (OT): Todd White scored a power-play goal with 2:11 left in overtime to give host Atlanta a victory over Tampa Bay.
Ilya Kovalchuk had his NHL-best 17th goal for the Thrashers.
Vincent Lecavalier had a goal and an assist for the Lightning to extend his multipoint streak to eight games, longest in the NHL since Jaromir Jagr had 10 straight for Pittsburgh from Feb. 18-March 9, 1996.
