Crystal Lake travel baseball team to hold tryouts next month

Crystal Lake Park District Traveler's Basketball gives boys in sixth through eighth grades to play against some of the best competition in the northwest suburbs.

Tryouts are for boys who will attend Crystal Lake Central High School, Crystal Lake South High School and Prairie Ridge High School. Players must reside in the high school boundaries of the team they try out for.

Players must have a parent or guardian with them or a signed release form to try-out.

Those selected for the nine 12-member teams will play a 15-plus game season split between home and away. Players who make the team will have to pay a program fee by Jan. 4. Cost is $215 for Crystal Lake Park District residents; $323 for nonresidents.

The fee includes a school specific jersey and shorts.

There are no limits or fees for tryouts.

All boys must be at tryouts at 1 p.m.

• For boys who will attend Central High School, tryout is from 1 to 4 p.m. Dec. 1 at Lundahl Middle School.

• For boys who will attend Prairie Ridge High School tryout is from 1 to 4 p.m. Dec. 1 at Hannah Beardsley Middle School.

• For boys who will attend South High School tryout is from 1 to 4 p.m. Dec. 2 at Lundahl Middle School.
