"A Christmas Carol:" A one-hour version of Charles Dickens' classic "A Christmas Carol" will be presented by the Improv Playhouse Children's Theater at 8 p.m. Nov. 30 and 3 and 7 p.m. Dec. 1 at the new Round Lake Beach Cultural and Civic Center Mainstage. Seven professional actors will be playing all of the characters. Tickets are $12 for adults; $10 for seniors and the military; and $8 for students with ID and children. There is a $1 discount per ticket for groups of 10 or more. All seats are general admission. Seating will be limited. To reserve tickets, call Improv Playhouse.

"Godspell Junior:" Registration is taking place for the Improv Playhouse RLB Showstoppers (12- to 17-year-old) production of "Godspell Junior." The musical is a unique reflection on the life of Jesus, with a message of kindness, tolerance and love. No auditions are necessary. There is a fee of $295 to take part. Training and rehearsals will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday afternoons and 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays beginning Jan. 13 at the Round Lake Beach Cultural Center. Shows will be March 14 to 17 at the Round Lake Beach Cultural Center main stage.

"Grease!:" Showstoppers Musical Theatre cast of Improv Playhouse will perform "Grease!," the hit translation from the Broadway musical tribute to the 1950s.

Directed by Improv Playhouse's Cortney Lowinsky, performances will begin at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 8 and 1:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. Dec. 9 at Vernon Hills High School Studio Theater.

Tickets cost $10 for adults, $7 for students, seniors or military and free to children age 3 and under. Special rates are available to groups of 10 or more. And $1 per ticket sold will be sent to Troop Support organizations.
