Thanks for support of auto inspection

On Saturday, Oct. 27, the Milton Township S. A. L. T. Council (Seniors and Law Enforcement Together) conducted its seventh annual auto inspection program for seniors at Fire Station No. 2 in Glen Ellyn. The inspection program provides seniors with an opportunity to have their cars put through a free 20- point inspection check list by volunteer mechanics and staff to ensure the car is ready for winter driving. Part of the inspection check list is fluid levels. If fluids are low, they are topped off. Also, tire air pressure is checked.

This year's program was far more successful than previous years. We base this assessment on the additional number of cars inspected. This increase in cars inspected was due primarily to a more accessible location and financial support.

The Milton Township S. A. L. T. council would like to express our appreciation to the Glen Ellyn Volunteer Fire Department and Community Bank of Wheaton/Glen Ellyn for their support in making it possible to reach more seniors with this program. The fire department made Fire Station No. 2 available for the auto inspection site. The financial support from Community Bank provided the incentive to expand the program this year. Thank you.

Joe Vanest Vice Chairman S. A. L. T. Council Milton Township
