• Illinois State University in Normal recognized the following students for their scholarship by including them in the spring 2007 dean's list. They have achieved grade-point averages that place them in the top 10 percent of their respective colleges.

• Adam Biermann, son of George and Pamela Biermann, Elk Grove Village, was awarded a bachelor's degree in psychology June 10 from Lawrence University, Appleton, Wis. He is a 2003 graduate of Elk Grove High School.

• Lisa Belter, daughter of Mark Belter and Christine Belter, both of Des Plaines, was awarded a bachelor's degree in biology June 10 from Lawrence University, Appleton, Wis. She is a 2003 graduate of Maine South High School.
