Westmont police hunting for armed robber

Westmont police are offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest of a suspect wanted in connection with a series of armed robberies in southeast DuPage County.

The man is described as between 40 and 50 years old, standing about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds.

He is suspected of robbing a Westmont liquor store on Nov. 1 as well as a Burger King in Willowbrook on Oct. 1, a White Hen Pantry in Oakbrook Terrace on Oct. 7 and a Subway restaurant in Darien on Nov. 1.

The man also is wanted in connection with the attempted robbery of an Oakbrook Terrace Dunkin Donuts on Oct. 7, police said.
