Spiritual Health Club: Dr. Rich Bell, vice president of the Sun City Spiritual Health Club, will present a program based on James Redfield's book, The Eleventh Insight, on Nov. 15, at the Mid-American Bank of Huntley.
Redfield's book is based on the Tibetan Buddhist myth of Shambala, a mystical paradise amidst the snowy, barren wastes of the Himalayas. The ascended spiritual masters of Shambala have found a way to harness the ethereal energy of the universe to create a garden of Eden. Some have said that ethereal energy is the dark matter of quantum physics, which makes up the majority of the universe, but is invisible.
In the book, one man's search for Shambala ends with the realization that one's intention, combined with a community of like minds, can create a reality that reflects a higher vibrational level of compassion and love. In this myth, technology serves to advance spiritual evolution. It does not lead the planet to destruction.
Is there truth in this myth? Only mankind can answer the question. Dr. Bell will present material and lead discussion from 3:45 until 4:45 p.m. From 4:45 until 5:45 p.m., there will be meditation practice and healing prayers.
