District 76 getting its money's worth

Doing more with less:

Per the 2007 school report cards published in your newspaper recently, Diamond Lake School District 76 was above state averages in all academics reported; 3rd-grade reading and math, 4th-grade science, and 5th-grade reading and math.

The district was below state averages in all financial items reported; teacher salary, spending per pupil, and administrator pay.

They should be commended for getting above average results with below average resources. Excellence in education and fiscal responsibility. Nice job!
