Briefs: General Growth expands abroad

CHICAGO -- General Growth Properties Inc. announced the grand openings of shopping centers in Brazil and Turkey. Espark (Eskisehir, Turkey), Bangu Shopping (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) and Santana Parque Shopping (Sao Paulo, Brazil) are the newest shopping centers added to the GGP international portfolio. Locally, the company operates malls including Northbrook Court, Oakbrook Center, Spring Hill Mall in West Dundee, Golf Mill in Niles and Water Tower Place in Chicago.

APAC announces quarterly results

DEERFIELD -- APAC Customer Services Inc., a provider of customer care services and solutions, reported financial results for its third fiscal quarter ending Sept. 30. Revenue for the 2007 third quarter rose 15 percent to $56.8 million from $49.3 million in the third quarter of 2006 due to a 63 percent increase in revenue from off-shore operations and higher domestic revenue primarily driven by incremental volume from the second UPS facility.
