Big Hollow schools to offer screenings for delays

Big Hollow School District will hold screenings for children with suspected developmental delays on Nov. 13, at Big Hollow Primary School, 33335 N. Fish Lake Road, Ingleside, for children 2-years-and-8-months- to 4-years-old. There will be no charge for the screening.

Three proofs of residence are required. A voter's registration card, a driver's license, or utility bill are all accepted as proof of residence. Parents will also need to bring an original county birth certificate of their child. A hospital certificate is not valid documentation.

Developmental skills to be evaluated include speech and language, motor skills, social and emotional development, and pre-academic skills.

To schedule an appointment, call (847) 740-5320. Only those with an appointment will be screened.
