"The Lady of Larkspur Lotion," a one act by Tennessee Williams, directed by Lori Holm of Batavia at The Albright Theatre at 100 North Island Ave., Batavia at 6 p.m. Sunday. Casting two females, and one male, 23-45 years. Prepare a dramatic monologue no more than 2 minutes in length and be prepared for a cold reading from the script. The Fox Valley Philharmonic is seeking local adult and high school singers to form a chorus for its Dec. 2 holiday concert. Vocalists from local church choirs and high school choruses are invited to participate. Interested singers should have choir experience and good sight reading skills. The chorus will rehearse on Saturdays, through Dec. 1, from 10 to 11:30 am at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 420 West Downer Place in Aurora.

The Dec. 2 program is titled "Winter Wundermusik," and will include works for orchestra and chorus such as "A Musicological Journey through the Twelve Days of Christmas," "Christmas Festival," and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas."

Orchestral works on the program will include Six Dances from Tschaikowsky's "Nutcracker," "Twas the Night Before Christmas" and Leroy Anderson's perennial favorite "Sleigh Ride."

The "Outsourcing Christmas" performance workshop is under way at First Street Playhouse in Batavia, with registration continuing through Saturday. The workshop will meet Saturdays 9 a.m. to noon and on Thursdays after school from 4 to 6 p.m. All participants are guaranteed a role that will challenge their talent level, while allowing them to succeed on stage in performance. The workshop will consist of theater games, theater training, character development and stage movement exercises to help students learn how to project, develop their characters, move on stage, and work as a team to successfully present theater to the public.

There will be six performances of "Outsourcing Christmas", taking place on Dec. 27 and 28 at 6 p.m., Dec. 28 at 6 p.m., Dec. 29 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. and Dec. 30 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.; additional rehearsals will be added throughout the rehearsal process as needed. Registration for the program is $150 per child, and includes all costumes, make-up, a FSP T-Shirt, and two complimentary tickets to the production. Additional tickets for performances will be $10.
