Liberals suffering a bad case of amnesia

I find it amazing that you would even print such a letter as the one by Pat and Joel Smith on Oct. 21.

Their premise was "Bush's unnecessary attack on Iraq was a colossal mistake unrivaled in American history." They then go on further to imply the information was based on lies.

Seems to me that a good number of the liberals in this country have suffered a whole lot of amnesia.

Were not all the Democrat leaders in the country urging the president to do something about Saddam Hussein?

Didn't the majority of Congress vote for the war in Iraq?

They had the same information the president did and made their decisions based on that information, just as the president did.

Perhaps they should all be impeached?

They then go on to say that pardoning Scooter Libby borders on treason. Not even close.

Being sworn in to the military and then running off to Russia after you have been sworn in and refusing to report to your commanding officer is desertion. One might forget that happened once and the culprit was pardoned by Jimmy Carter.

What folks seem to not realize is that had President Bush done anything that bordered on breaking a law, like lying under oath or accepting campaign contributions from foreign government in exchange for top secret data, the Democrat-controlled Congress and liberal press would be well along in the impeachment process.

They would love a chance to impeach Bush, but so far he has not even come close to giving them any reason to do so.
