He'll be signing autographs and promoting his new shoe line -- the Big Ben Wallace Collection.

No appointments are necessary.

Seniors who have Medicare A and B will not be charged for the shot, but must bring their Medicare card and their supplemental insurance card with them in order for the village to file their insurance claim.

Individuals with Medicare HMO, Railroad Retirement, or who are under age 65 and do not have Medicare, will be charged $20 for the shot.

Shots are available to anyone 18 and over.

Anyone with the following conditions will not be eligible for vaccination through the village:

• Allergy to eggs;

• History of Guillain-Barre syndrome;

• Pregnant;

• Acute illness with a fever or history of seizures/convulsions from fevers.

If additional information is needed, contact Human Services at (847) 870-5680.

Congrats: The Prospect Heights Fire Protection District received the Life Safety Achievement Award for 2006 from the Residential Fire Safety Institute.

It's the ninth consecutive year that the district has received that award.

Only 675 community fire departments received the 2006 Life Safety Achievement Award, according to the district.

The Fire Safety Institute presents this award because the fire protection district recorded "zero" loss in fire deaths in structure fires during this time.

According to Fire Chief Don Gould, the award reflects the efforts of the district's fire prevention and public education activities throughout the year.
