Bolingbrook residents sue DEA over raid

A Bolingbrook couple filed suit against the DEA Friday, alleging the anti-drug agency mistakenly raided their home instead of a house next door.

Albert and Debra White claim in their lawsuit that agents with guns drawn rushed into their home on Langford Drive about midnight Oct. 25, 2004.

The agents shouted for the couple, their daughter and their 3-year-old grandson to get on the floor, the lawsuit claims.

"Plaintiffs learned near the end of their false imprisonment that the DEA's intended target of the raid was actually (next door)," the lawsuit said.

It was not clear why it took nearly three years to file the lawsuit, and neither the Whites' lawyer nor a DEA representative could be reached late Friday afternoon.

The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages.
