What's Geocaching?

Geocaching is an outdoor treasure-hunting game that is popular among outdoor enthusiasts. Players start by entering the "waypoint," coordinates of a hidden cache in latitude and longitude, into a global positioning satellite, or GPS, unit. Using the GPS as a guide, players locate and open the cache.

Most caches contain a logbook in which players can record the time and date of their discovery. Caches also may contain small prizes like interesting coins, CDs, photos or toys.
