Castle Bank joins program to help in emergencies

Castle Bank has announced its participation in the File of Life program in the Huntley and Marengo-Union communities.

This special program is at no charge, and gives participants the opportunity to communicate important medical information to emergency medical technicians in the event of an emergency.

Each member of the household completes a medical information card which contains emergency contacts, medical data, medical conditions, allergies, medical insurance, and medication dosage and frequency.

The cards are enclosed in a magnetized envelope and affixed to members' refrigerator, to help inform emergency medical technicians of the resident's current condition in the event he or she is unable to respond and assist with emergency medical treatment.

The File of Life program was started by the Huntley Fire Department and also is supported by the Huntley Fire Protection District, Del Webb Neighborhood Watch, Sun City Lions Club and Marengo Rescue Squad.

Medical information cards and envelopes can be picked up at Castle Bank locations at 11700 S. Route 47 in Huntley and 677 E. Grant Highway in Marengo.

"Castle Bank is proud to be a part of the File of Life program," said Castle Bank North Region President Doug Groebner.

"We are pleased to offer the program materials to our customers and residents of Huntley and Marengo-Union."
