Songwriter, author will perform at Ridgefield church

Singer, songwriter and guitarist David LaMotte will perform in concert at 7 p.m. Sunday at Ridgefield-Crystal Lake Presbyterian Church, 8505 Church St., Ridgefield.

In the past 16 years, LaMotte has released 10 CDs and performed more than 2,000 concerts on four continents. He is the author of a successful children's book based on his award-winning children's song, "S.S. Bathtub."

He is the co-founder and volunteer director of a non-profit organization, PEG Partners, which works with schools in Guatemala to improve learning environments.

This will be LaMotte's last year touring before he begins graduate work in peace studies in 2008.
