Church helps unwed moms have children

Apparently, Anne Ahrens of Schaumburg, whose letter ran Oct. 5, does not know about St. Mary Church in Huntley.

Pro-life people do care and do assist unwed mothers. In May, we have an annual "baby shower."

Parishioners bring infant clothing, blankets, crib sheets, diapers and miscellaneous items that are given to mothers in need.

Ahrens is right. We do not hear much about these groups and organizations. However, they do exist.
