So much for the concept of equality

The concept of all men being created free and equal was recently dealt a final death blow last month. A two-week long series of articles concerning a missing millionaire and a single back page article concerning a poor lady clinched it. The jet-setting millionaire's plane crashed, and vast amounts of time and taxpayers dollars were and are still being spent looking for him. The lady's car crashed into a ravine and her husband spent a week trying to get authorities interested in searching for her. Thank God she was found alive. It is apparent to me that at least the almighty doesn't care about a person's wealth, only the government (of the wealthy, for the wealthy and by the wealthy).

Another example of equal treatment, or rather, lack thereof, occurred several years ago. Three boaters on Lake Michigan went missing. The search was called off after two days. About the same time frame, one of the illustrious Kennedy clan was involved in a plane crash over the Atlantic. The Navy and Coast Guard spent weeks looking for the remains.

Equality?
