Briefs: Police investigate incident
St. Charles police are investigating an incident that took place about noon Thursday in the Davis Elementary School area. Two women in a newer model dark gray minivan had approached a 10-year-old student. A passenger opened the door and motioned for the student to come to the van. The student refused to and reported the incident to school officials. The van left the area. Police are not sure whether it was a criminal incident or not but commend the student for handling the situation the right way. Anyone with additional information should call Detective Scott Kern of the St. Charles Police Department at (630) 377-4435.
