Saddlebrook Farms hosted dachshund/toy poodle wedding
Ron Damitz, walks with his dog Lulu, and Carol Plants walks with her dog Homer. The owners, both of Grayslake, have united their dogs in marriage.
Grayslake's Saddlebrook Farms community was the Sept. 22 site of the canine marriage of Sharon and Ron Damitz' dachshund LuLu and Carol and Dale Plants' toy poodle Homer. The ceremony by Canine Court Officiate Sherry Emerson was held on a miniature decorated altar complete with canine maid of honor and groom on the Plants' lakeside property.
An outdoor reception followed on the Damitz property for relatives and friends after which the newlyweds were carried off in the basket of a mobile cart labeled "JUST MARRIED!" It was a beautiful day for an outdoor wedding and reception!
