Three charged in tool theft

Three men were charged late Sunday with stealing tools from a construction site in Algonquin, police said Monday.

Tyler S. Ward, 18, of 473 Franklin Drive, South Elgin, Jonathan A. Sensor, 19, of 5 Lincoln Ave., Elgin and Christopher A. Dykes, 21, of 865 S. Rawson Bridge, Cary, were each charged with two counts of felony burglary and one count of possession of burglary tools, police said.

Recovered tools included bolt cutters and other items belonging to Lohbauer Electric of South Elgin, which is doing work at the Esplanade construction site on Randall Road, police said.

Ward and Sensor each posted $3,500 bonds Monday; Dykes was being held in the Kane County jail, also on $3,500 bond.

They are scheduled appear in court Oct. 18 at the Kane County Judicial Center.
