Briefs: Vehicle sticker contest

The village of Carol Stream is seeking elementary school students between age 5 and 10 to submit designs for next year's vehicle sticker. The theme of the contest is "My Favorite Thing about Carol Stream." Applications will be distributed in elementary schools and also will be available at the Carol Stream Library, Simkus Recreation Center and village hall. Applicants are asked to create their design using pencil, crayon or paint. Designs need to be mailed or hand-delivered to the village manager's office at 500 N. Gary Ave. in Carol Stream by 5 p.m. Oct. 12. For details, call (630) 871-6250.

Parents of disabled invited

Naperville Unit District 203 will hold a meeting for parents of home-schooled and privately schooled students with disabilities who reside in its attendance area at 4 p.m. Oct. 11 at the district administrative center, 203 W. Hillside Road. The purpose will be to discuss the district's plans for providing special education services to those students. For more information, call (630) 420-6524.

Police honor art winners:

Visit Roselle fire station:

Glenbard S. homecoming:

Glenbard South High School's homecoming, "A Night on the Town," kicks off today and continues through Saturday. The court will be announced today at the school, 23W200 Butterfield Road, Glen Ellyn. The coronation will take place at the pep rally at 7 p.m. Thursday. The sophomore game is at 5:15 p.m. and the varsity at 7:30 p.m. Friday. The homecoming dance is at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
