Lindblad fall recital Saturday in Mt. Prospect

Students from Des Plaines, Mount Prospect, Palatine, and Prospect Heights will participate in Paul Lindblad Choristers Fall Recital at 7 p.m. Saturday at South Church, 501 South Emerson, Mount Prospect.

The recital is the culmination of the 11-day summer choir day camp and the kickoff to the 18th season. The recital is open to the public. Admission is free. A free will offering will be collected.

The centerpiece of the recital will be "Aesop of Phrygia" by Park Ridge composer Sheldon Elias. Elias, who died in 2004, wrote music and theme songs for movies and documentaries, jingles for commercials, and works for symphony orchestras. A selection of Baroque, Romantic and 20th Century works will round out the performance.
