Golf fundraiser a successful event

The Elburn Fire Department hosts a fundraising golf outing each year known as the Big Kahuna Classic at the beautiful Hughes Creek Golf Club in Elburn. This outing raises money for a scholarship fund that is available to children of firefighters and EMTs in the surrounding area. This year marks the fourth year of the Big Kahuna Classic, and we are happy to announce our most successful outing to date!

As with any fundraiser, the volunteers, participants and supporters are what make the event a success. We have been blessed every year with many great volunteers, many generous donations and many dedicated participants. Thanks to Angel Callaghan, Steph Hanson, Christine Southern, Lisa Justice, Randy Banker, Doug Keifer, Greg Algrim, Amanda Briggs, Cheryl Lee, Nancy Faber, the Hughes Creek Golf Club, the Elburn Fire Department, Maple Park Firefighters, Geneva Firefighters Association, Sugar Grove Firefighters Association, the Big Rock Fire Department, North Aurora Firefighters, Burlington Fire Department, Southern Kane County Training Association, Valley Fire Protection Systems, Alexis Fire Equipment, M.T.
