Learning Resources makes Veber CEO

VERNON HILLS -- Learning Resources Inc., a manufacturer of educational products, said Tuesday it appointed Etienne Veber as chief executive officer. Veber was the company's president and chief operating officer. Also, CEO Richard Woldenberg will become chairman. Veber joined Learning Resources in July 2005. He will be responsible for the company's expanding global network. Woldenberg will focus on long-term strategy.

Cosi tags Hyatt president, CEO

DEERFIELD -- Cosi Inc., the premium convenience restaurant company, Tuesday appointed James F. Hyatt as its president and chief executive officer. Hyatt, 51, most recently was executive vice president and global chief operations officer of Burger King Corp. He has more than 30 years of industry experience at all levels of corporate and franchise restaurant operations, including as a successful franchisee at Burger King. Hyatt succeeds interim president and CEO Robert Merritt.
