Schaumburg Flyers hire Morgan West as new GM

The Schaumburg Flyers have hired a new general manager and promoted its former GM.

Rick Rungaitis has been promoted from general manager to vice president-sales, and the club has hired Morgan West as its GM.

Rungaitis had been general manager for Northern League club since 2000.

West joins the Flyers after spending the past three seasons as the assistant general manager/director of operations with the Florence Freedom of the Frontier League.

"I'm excited about building on what is already a great organization and helping take it to the next level," West said in a release from the Flyers. "Alexian Field is a beautiful facility and the staff is ready to make the 10th Anniversary season the best year in the clubs history."
