Mosque burglar sentenced to 90 days in jail
The third of four teens accused of burglarizing the Islamic Center of Naperville in 2006 was sentenced Thursday to 90 days in jail.
Charles Htun, now 20, of Naperville, also must serve three years' probation and pay $2,000 in restitution.
Police installed a surveillance camera last summer inside the mosque at 450 Olesen Drive after learning of as many as 10 break-ins in which money was stolen from a donation box.
Late July 21, 2006, four teens were spotted leaving the building. Some of them led police on a car chase that ended in Hinsdale when they crashed. Three officers received minor injuries.
Two other defendants pleaded guilty earlier this year and received jail or a prison boot-camp sentence. The final case against the fourth teen still is pending.
