Helping kids grieve

To help address childhood bereavement, Fox Valley Volunteer Hospice offers Herbie's Friends, a grief support group for children and their families. The eight-week program meets once a week and allows families to enjoy a meal together before meeting in age-appropriate groups. Homework help in D303

St. Charles School District 303 parents can get tips on helping children who struggle with homework during a special presentation Sept. 25 at North High School, 255 Red Gate Road. '100 Years' at Arcada

Renown composer and lyricist Neil Berg's "100 Years of Broadway" comes to the Arcada Theater in St. Charles this month. The musical revue of Broadway classics is set for 8 p.m. Sept. 27 at the theater, 105 E. Main St. In addition to Berg, "100 Years of Broadway" features original cast members from "The Phantom of the Opera," "Les Miserables," and "Jesus Christ Superstar," among shows.
