Larkin blanks Maine South 2-0
Danny Hinterlong and Raul Sandoval scored goals Thursday night as the Larkin boys soccer team downed Maine South 2-0 in a Pepsi Showdown game played at Memorial Field.
A.J. Southammavong assisted Hunterlong's first-half goal and David Rodriguez fed Sandoval for a score in the second half.
Raziel Somarriba was in goal for the Royals (6-2) and registered the shutout with 8 saves.

Prairie Ridge 4, Huntley 1: In Fox Valley Conference Fox Division play, Prairie Ridge defeated Huntley 4-1. The Wolves were led by 2 goals from Alex Sauciuc, one of which was assisted by Marcelo Jorge. Then to begin the second half Jorge scored a goal unassisted. Ryan McCarty scored the final goal for Prairie Ridge. In goal for the Wolves was Elkan Meyer-Volinek who tallied 8 saves. Junior Nico Carbonara scored the Red Raiders' only goal. Kevin Montelongo had 8 saves and shared the net with teammate Jonathan Jagdharry who collected a pair of saves.
Streamwood 5, South Elgin 3: The Sabres (6-6-1, 2-1) defeated South Elgin 5-3 for an Upstate Eight Conference victory. Alex Perez managed to score 3 of the Sabres' 5 goals, Two were unassisted and the other was assisted by Matt Rasinski. Roma Patino also scored a goal for Streamwood with help from teammate Alex Perez. Patino then scored again on an assist from Eleazar Jimenez. Juan Ortiz was in the net collecting 6 saves for his fourth consecutive win.
