Cary commuter lots to be resurfaced
On Friday, the village of Cary will begin re-surfacing the middle portion of the Metra north commuter parking lot at 100 W. Main St. This portion of the north lot primarily affects permit parking holders. The permit parking lot will be closed Friday through Sunday. The parking lot will re-open at 4:30 a.m. Monday.
The northernmost portion of the north commuter parking lot will be open Friday. Permit parking holders are encouraged to utilize this lot or the south daily fee parking lot on Friday. Commuters should plan on arriving a few minutes early to accommodate this parking change during construction.
On Saturday and Sunday, the entire north commuter parking lot will be closed for the resurfacing project. Commuters can park in the south lot for the duration of the weekend.
"Improving the appearance of the commuter parking lots is a great example of the infrastructure improvement projects that the village is working on this year," stated Cary Mayor Steve Lamal. "The village is committed to beautifying our community and this is just one of the many ways that we are trying to do that."
