Briefs: Program to help business leaders

SCHAUMBURG -- "Going Global, is it for you?" a program about business opportunities in Mexico, China and India, takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 3 at DePaul University's Schaumburg Campus. Cost is $49. This program will help business owners decide if they can take their businesses global through trading partnerships. APP gets tentative OK for injection

SCHAUMBURG -- Abraxis Pharmaceutical Products, the hospital-based business of Abraxis BioScience Inc., said Tuesday it received tentative approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration of its application for granisetron hydrochloride injection, the generic equivalent of Hoffmann-La Roche's Kytril injection. APP expects to receive final approval and begin marketing the injection drug in December.
