Fields of Gold Planting: The Vernon Hills Park District invites the community to plant daffodil bulbs in memory of the victims who lost their lives in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hawthorn Century Park and the Family Aquatic Center grounds on Aspen Drive. Park District staff will be at both locations to assist with planting throughout the day. No registration is required.
