Resale shop holding sale to help local families in need

The House of Hope Resale Shop in Barrington is slashing its prices next week.

The store, which benefits Project Hope -- a nonprofit organization established in 1986 to provide emergency assistance to area families in crisis -- is hosting its "Fall Frenzy" sale.

Caryn Habley, the store's manager, said everything will be 50 percent off as they get ready to restock the store for the fall and winter seasons.

House of Hope sells furniture, collectibles, vintage treasures, housewares, clothes and toys.

Every penny raised during "Fall Frenzy" will benefit Project Hope.

The sale is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sept. 15.

The event will conclude with a special $3-per-bag sale for clothing, toys and books from 2 to 4 p.m. Sept. 15.

The House of Hope Resale Shop is located at 200 N. Hough St., just north of Hough and Main streets, in downtown Barrington.
