Junior American Girls: Join the library for an adventure-filled book discussion including a craft from the time period, from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. Sept. 17, for kindergarten through third grade.

Writer's Group: Connect with other writers at the library's monthly information and critique meeting, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 17. Pick up copies of writings submitted for the next meeting at the Adult Reference Desk. No registration necessary.

The Kitchen Klangers: Enjoy a morning of unique musical entertainment with this energetic, local senior group at 10:15 a.m. Sept. 18. A Coffee Break program.

Thursday Night Book Chat: The group will discuss "Wickett's Remedy" by Myla Goldberg at 7 p.m. Sept. 20. Books are available for check-out at the Circulation Desk. No registration necessary.

Model railroad exhibit: A model train exhibit boasting an 11-by-24-foot, three-mainline track layout will delight model train enthusiasts and patrons of all ages at the North Central 'O' Gaugers Model Railroad Club Special Run, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sept. 22. Visitors will have the opportunity to control a train using one of the wireless remote controllers. Patrons may bring their own 'O' Gauge trains to run; both conventional and command control engines can be accommodated. This is a family program. No registration necessary.
