Festival offers fair and square good time

The all-encompassing Old Fashioned Harvest Fest/Fiddlers Contest and Fair in the Square Craft Show is a daylong celebration to be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 16 on the courthouse square in Woodstock.

The 12th annual festival features a farmers market; old-time artisans, including weavers, spinners and quilters; vintage farm equipment; blacksmiths and woodworkers; wagon rides; children's activities' and a fiddlers' contest for youth and adults.

Also, the Fair in the Square craft show will highlight crafters from all over the Midwest who will sell their original, hand-crafted wares.

The festival is jointly organized by the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce and Off Square Music. For details, call (815) 338-2436.
