Briefs: Firm to manage Woodfield Hyatt

SCHAUMBURG --Portfolio Hotels & Resorts announced Thursday the addition of the 470-room Hyatt Regency Woodfield to its management portfolio. The hotel was recently purchased by The Harp Group, an Oak Brook-based Crescendo company, in a joint venture. Portfolio Hotels also manages the Ambassador East in Chicago, Holiday Inn Select in Naperville and has a contract to run the InterContinental O'Hare, slated to open in Rosemont next year.

Bang & Olufsen unveil controller

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS -- Bang & Olufsen said Thursday it will launch its Beo5 remote control later this year, which will have the capability to operating combinations of products in home theaters as well as multi-room video and music systems. The Danish manufacturer has its North America headquarters in Arlington Heights.
