Geneva

• Someone threw something at a car at 3:50 a.m. Saturday as it drove in the 1700 block of South Street. The front passenger side was dented. No object was found.

• A vandal broke into Western Avenue School, 1500 Western Ave., between 10:23 p.m. Saturday and 6:20 p.m. Sunday. A window screen was cut to gain access. The offender wrote with a marker on a table, cabinet, desk, printer and blackboard and dumped a bottle of dry-erase board cleaner on a teacher's desk. There was no damage estimate.

• Gold and pearl jewelry, $150 and a blue-and-green paisley-print overnight bag were reported stolen from a home in the 500 block of Dempsey Place between 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

• Someone entered through an unlocked window and stole 250 compact discs from a home in the 700 block of Richard Street between 11 p.m. Thursday and 6:15 p.m. Friday. A kitchen trash can bag was emptied and possibly used to haul the CDs. The resident was moving in. The CDs are valued at $2,500.

• A Nokia cell phone and a blue backpack with a book belonging to Harrison Street Elementary School were stolen from an open 1995 Audi Cabriolet convertible while it was parked in the 800 block of Bennett Street between 9:30 and 10 a.m. Friday.

• A refrigerated trailer worth $18,654 was reported stolen sometime between 11 a.m. Aug. 24 and 10:30 a.m. Aug. 27 from a holding lot at Millard Refrigeration, 2088 Geneva Drive. The 53-foot trailer had been left there by a Lemont trucking firm. It was last seen during a lot inventory check Aug. 25.

Kane County

• Rafael Sanchez-Mendoza, 19, of 806 Burr Oaks Drive, Apt. 105, West Chicago, was charged with DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after a one-car crash at Route 25 and Banbury Road in Batavia Township at 11:28 a.m. Saturday, according to a police report. Sanchez-Mendoza lost control of his car and flipped it, hitting a guardrail and landing in a ditch. He was transported to Provena Mercy Center in Aurora.

• Three people were taken to Kishwaukee Community Hospital after a one-car crash at McGough and Middleton roads in Burlington Township at 1:20 a.m. Sunday. A car driven by Bryan R. Schultz, 21, of 41W540 Greenfield Road, Elgin, hit an embankment and flipped onto its side in a nearby cornfield. Schultz and his passengers, Glenn R. Wellendorf, 20, of 11N530 McGough Road, Hampshire; and Colt A. Strissel, 20, 48W689 Romin Road, Maple Park, were all taken to the hospital. Schultz was charged with DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, according to a police report.

• A Maple Park teenager was taken to Delnor-Community Hospital after a one-car crash on Beith Road at West County Line Road in Virgil Township at 1 p.m. Friday. Dane A. Potts, 17, lost control of his car and it overturned in a cornfield, according to a police report.

• Mihajlo Danilovski, 21, 458 Touhy Ave., Des Plaines, was charged with multiple offenses after police pulled him over for going 110 mph in a 50 mph zone on Randall Road near Red Gate Road in St. Charles Township at 1:30 a.m. Aug. 28. He was charged with no front registration plate, loud or modified exhaust, a defective cracked windshield, unlawful use of a license plate cover, no proof of insurance, speeding more than 40 mph over the speed limit and drag racing, according to a police report.

• An outdoor furniture set valued at $2,500 was stolen from a residence on the 39W300 block of Armstrong Lane in Blackberry Township between 10 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday.

• Someone drove a golf cart across several greens and into two pins between 8:30 p.m. Friday and 6:30 a.m. Saturday at the Black Sheep Golf Course, 2S610 Seavey Road in Batavia Township, causing $180 in damage.

• Richard L. Weinstock, 37, 35W367 Fox River Drive, St. Charles, was cited for pedestrian under the influence of alcohol after police found him sitting in the road on the 6N400 block of Essex Avenue in St. Charles Township, according to a police report. He was transported to Delnor-Community Hospital.

St. Charles

• Scott M. Johnson, 18, of 40W960 Dillonfield Drive, La Fox, was arrested at 1:22 a.m. Sunday and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana possession on the 1700 block of Cumberland-Green Drive, police said. Johnson was released on $1,000 bond with a Sept. 20 court date.

• Eva L. Bur, 28, of 4512 101 St. West, Bradenton, Fla., was arrested at 5:31 p.m. Saturday and charged with retail theft, obstructing police and marijuana possession after stealing $79 in cologne from Kohl's, 3840 E. Main St., police said. Bur was accused of trying to swallow .51 grams of marijuana during booking. She was released on $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 20.

• Maria Sanchez, 23, of 225 Walnut Drive Apt. 122, was arrested at 7:43 p.m. Friday and charged with retail theft after stealing $58 in clothes from Von Maur, 3810 E. Main St., police said. She was released on $1,000 bond with a Sept. 20 court date.

• Amanda L. Thomas, 19, of 201 N. Tyler Road Apt. 125, was arrested at 1:30 a.m. Friday and charged with underage drinking on the 3100 block of Charlemagne Lane, police said. Thomas was released with a Sept. 20 court date.

• Jose E. Urzua-Soto, 19, of 800 Jay St., Elgin, was arrested at 9:47 p.m. Thursday and charged with speeding, driving without insurance, driving without a valid license and possession of a fictitious or unlawfully altered driver's license at Horne Street and Route 31, police said. He was released on $1,000 bond with a Sept. 20 court date.

• A Kenwood stereo valued at $150 was stolen Aug. 26 from a car on the 2000 block of Wessel Court.
