Gurnee

• Vandals smashed the rear window around 1 a.m. Aug. 17 on a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee at Six Flags Great America, 1 Six Flags Parkway, police said. Damage was estimated at $500.

• Thieves stole the glass out of the driver's-side mirror unit on a 2005 Cadillac Escalade around 7 p.m. Aug. 19 at Gurnee Mills, 6170 Route 132, police said. Value was estimated at $200.

Round Lake

• Mariano Olivarez, 43, 514 Prospect Drive, Round Lake Park, was arrested around 2:30 a.m. Aug. 11 and charged with illegal transportation of open alcohol and traffic violations after an officer found him passed out in a car at Cedar Lake Road and Avilon, police said. His Waukegan court date was not available.

• Brandon R. Kessel, 24, 47 Gentry Drive, Lake Zurich, was arrested around 2:10 a.m. Aug. 12 and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after an officer stopped his car for a traffic violation on the 100 block of Cedar Lake Road and found a glass drug pipe in the car, police said. His Round Lake Beach court date was set for Sept. 18.

Vernon Hills

• Patricia K. Zygmunt, 19, 902 Wexford Court, Libertyville, was arrested Aug. 18 and charged with retail theft after a security agent for Macy's in Westfield Hawthorn, saw her take merchandise valued at $116 and leave without paying, police said. Her Mundelein court date was set for Sept. 17.
