Arlington Heights

• Burglars stole the in-dash radio/CD player out of both a Mercury Grand Marquis and a 1997 Jeep Wrangler around 5 p.m. Aug. 16 parked at the Town and Country mall, 400-600 E. Palatine Road, police said. According to reports, a witness saw three men looking into the Jeep. Total value was estimated at $600.

• Burglars smashed a driver's-side window and stole a GPS unit and radar detector between 2 and 8:50 p.m. Aug. 17 out of a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck parked in a mall at 900 W. Dundee Road, police said. Total value was estimated at $850.

• Kyle S. Murray, 19, 411 N. Emerson St., Mount Prospect, was arrested around 11 p.m. Aug. 21 and charged with assault and criminal damage to property after he waited in bushes outside Denny's restaurant, 17 W. Algonquin Road, until the 20-year-old male victim and a male companion left the restaurant; Murray jumped from the bushes and threatened to beat him up, police said. The victim and his companion got into a 2007 Nissan hatchback, but Murray climbed on the hood, punched and dented the hood and punched the windshield, reports added. According to reports, the dispute was over a female friend. He left and officers arrested him at his home, reports added. His Rolling Meadows court date was set for Sept. 7.

• Thieve stole a red lawn mower between 4:15 and 6 p.m. Aug. 22 out of the front yard at a home on the 1700 block of Clarence Avenue, police said. Value was estimated at $400.

• Thieves stole a silver BMX bike with rear pegs and a pad on the handlebars and cross bar around 10:30 a.m. Aug. 20 from a condominium patio on the 1600 block of North Windsor Drive, police said. Value was estimated at $350.

• Someone stole a boys red 21-speed bicycle Aug. 23 parked on the 1400 block of North Chestnut Avenue, police said. Value was estimated at $200. According to reports, the thief left another bike in its place.

Rolling Meadows

• Andrew A. Burdi, 17, of 4403 Magnolia Drive; and Nicholas S. Logsdon, 19, of 4487 Hoover St. were arrested at 3:05 a.m. on Aug. 21 on the 4500 block of Thorntree Lane and charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor and disorderly conduct, a police report said. They have court on Sept. 27.
