• Schuyler Sherard Lauderdale, 25, 11127 S. Longwood Drive, Chicago, was arrested around 12:45 a.m. Aug. 22 and charged with possession of marijuana after an officer stopped his car for an equipment violation on the 2600 block of South Mannheim Road and found marijuana in the car, police said. His Skokie court date was set for Sept. 27.

• Thieves stole a cell phone and cigarette lighter between 4:30 and 5 p.m. Aug. 21 after the male victim left them in a washroom at Wendy's, 1595 Lee St., police said. Value was estimated at $400.

• Vandals spray painted gang graffiti between 4 p.m. Aug. 20 and 10 a.m. Aug. 21 on an exterior wall at a store at 1643 E. Oakton St., and on a gangway wall at an office building at 1639 E. Oakton St., police said. Damage estimates were not available.

• Thieves stole a set of military dog tags and set of car keys between 8:30 and 9 p.m. Aug. 21 out of a locker at the Mystic Waters park, 2025 Miner St., and used the car keys to enter the victim's 1997 Oldsmobile Cutlass in the parking lot and take a green camouflage military-issued helmet and vest, police said. Value estimates were not available.

• Hubert Adam Chlosta, 19, 9458 Bay Colony, Des Plaines, and Kiron Christopher Thomas, 19, 9428 Meadow Lane, Des Plaines, were arrested around 5:55 p.m. Aug. 17 and charged with city ordinance possession of alcohol by a minor after an officer stopped their car for a traffic violation and found an unopened bottle of vodka and a partially full bottle of Everclear, police said. Their Skokie court date was set for Sept. 11.

• James E. Kusch Jr., 21, 597 W. Comstock Ave., Elmhurst, was arrested around 11:15 p.m. Aug. 17 and charged with city ordinance encouraging the delinquency of a minor after officers were called to the Best Western Hotel, 1231 S. Lee St., because Kusch and three underage drinkers were in a guest room and making too much noise, police said. Officers found bottles of beer, vodka, and rum in the room, reports added. Arrested and charged with city ordinance consumption of alcohol by a minor were Krystal M. Hanson, 20, 900 Centennial Drive, Mount Prospect; Justin A. Kelly, 20, 960 North Ave., Des Plaines; and Cynthia L. Streng, 20, 2231 S. Ash St., Des Plaines, reports added. Their Skokie court date was set for Sept. 26.

• Elena Maria Disabato, 28, 3841 N. Kenmore, Chicago, and Robert L. Jeremias, 33, 8954 Church St., Des Plaines, were arrested around 3:35 p.m. Aug. 18 after an officer stopped their car for traffic violations on the 1500 block of East Miner Street, police said. According to reports, an officer found cocaine in Disabato's purse, and she was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and received a Skokie court date of Aug. 27. Jeremias was cited for traffic violations, and his Skokie court date was set for Sept. 28.

• Vandals slashed four tires on a 2007 Toyota Camry between 6:30 p.m. Aug. 17 and 10 a.m. Aug. 18 parked at a home on the 2200 block of Ash Street, police said. Damage was estimated at $800.

• Vandals wrote graffiti with blue spray paint between 9 p.m. Aug. 18 and 7:30 a.m. Aug. 19 on a building and sidewalk on the 1200 and 1300 blocks of Perry Street and on the parkway at Perry Street and Laurel Avenue, police said. Damage estimates were not available.

Elk Grove Village

• A GPS system, radar detector and MP3 player were stolen between 1:20 and 4:05 p.m. Aug. 21 from a 1995 Mercedes parked on the 100 block of Northwest Point Boulevard.

• A gas grill was stolen between 8 and 11:30 a.m. Aug. 17 from the yard of a home on the 900 block of Waterford. The grill was valued at $400.
