•A motorist parked a black four-door sedan on the front lawn around 4:05 a.m. Aug. 22 at a home on the 1000 block of Newberry Lane and sped away when the female resident looked out a window, police said. The vehicle left tire tracks in the lawn, reports added. Damage was estimated at $500.

•Thieves stole $3,000 Mexican pesos (about $280) between July 22 and Aug. 21 out of a wallet in a dresser drawer at an apartment on the 1700 block of Chariot Court, police said. There was no sign of forced entry, reports added.

•Thieves stole a gas-powered self-propelled lawn mower between 2 and 2:15 p.m. Aug. 22 out of the front yard at a home on the 300 block of South Kenilworth Avenue, police said. Value was estimated at $400.
