Briefs: AHMA to publish industry newsletter

SCHAUMBURG -- The American Hardware Manufacturers Association said Thursday it will publish the industry publication, The Hard Fax: Home Improvement Industry News. It has been a source of news and information for industry executives, with a strategic sensibility to time demands. The association is a global trade association of manufacturers, or providers, of hardware, home improvement, lawn and garden, paint and decorating and related products, as well as manufacturers' representative's agencies and trade publications.

Writers group plans meeting

BUFFALO GROVE -- The Construction Writers Association meets at the Hotel Allegro in Chicago Oct. 10-12 for its midyear meeting. It will include a tour of the Lakeshore East development, an education session focusing on digital media, a session featuring construction-related topics, and an awards dinner.
