Roselle subdivision feeling powerless

I would like the media to make public the horrendous disservice of Commonwealth Edison.

During this recent storm, our cul-de-sac of 15 homes had been out of electricity from Thursday, Aug. 23 at about 3 p.m. until Friday, Aug. 24 at 8:15 p.m. Every resident of our subdivision had repeatedly called ComEd to report the outage.

My husband saw the ComEd truck on an adjacent street Friday evening and spoke with the workers. They never received any report of power outage on David Lane in Roselle (Cook County)!

At 8 a.m. Friday I spoke with Mike at ComEd and he assured me that the outage was reported by him, the workers would have it fixed by 9:45 a.m., and he promised to forward a form to me regarding reimbursement for spoiled food in our non-working refrigerators and freezers.

This is horrendous. Commonwealth Edison has a dysfunctional communication system, and it needs to be repaired ASAP. I cannot even begin to count the number of times our power has gone out over the past nine years living here. There is a real problem with our connection to electricity, and ComEd will not even bother to investigate or remedy the problem!
